Call for Abstracts - The 13th World Congress of Korean Studies
The Academy of Korean Studies(AKS) is pleased to announce that the 13th World Congress of Korean Studies will take place at the Ritsumeikan University(Kyoto, Japan) from September 5(Saturday) to September 6(Sunday), 2026.
The congress theme, ‘Bridging Regional Trajectories and Global Connections in Korean Studies’ is designed to invite scholars and experts presenting recent researches and exchanging academic information as well as networking among Koreanists.
Prospective participants are invited to submit proposals. For more details, please check the attached file.

The Present and Future of Korean Studies across Regional Contexts
This plenary session will examine the current landscape and future trajectories of Korean Studies across diverse regional scholarly communities. Representatives from major international Korean Studies associations will offer reflections on institutional developments, emerging research agendas, and opportunities for strengthening global collaboration in the field.
