Call for Abstracts - The 13th World Congress of Korean Studies
The Academy of Korean Studies(AKS) is pleased to announce that the 13th World Congress of Korean Studies will take place at the Ritsumeikan University(Kyoto, Japan) from September 5(Saturday) to September 6(Sunday), 2026.
The congress theme, ‘Bridging Regional Trajectories and Global Connections in Korean Studies’ is designed to invite scholars and experts presenting recent researches and exchanging academic information as well as networking among Koreanists.
Prospective participants are invited to submit proposals. For more details, please check the attached file.

- Starting from January 12(Mon.), you can begin the submission process by clicking the "Apply" button located at the bottom right of the abstract submission link.
3. Important Dates for Prospective Participants
- Proposal Submission Deadline: January 12 ~ February 27, 2026
- Notification of Paper Acceptance: ~ April 10, 2026
- Participant Registration Deadline: ~ Aprl 30, 2026
- Paper Submission Deadline: ~ July 24, 2026
※ Papers should be submitted only by candidates for the Future Generation Korean Studies Scholar Paper Award; general presenters are not required to submit papers.
