Dear colleagues,

We are writing from the Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea). LTI Korea is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, dedicated to promoting Korean literature abroad through translation and publication support, education, and international exchange.

We would like to share an opportunity for Korean literary translators at all career stages and kindly ask for your help in spreading the word.

LTI Korea is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Korean Literature Translators Career Pathways Program, designed to support translators at different stages of their professional journey — emerging/early-career, mid-career, and established. The program is not simply training, but a space where translators can exchange perspectives on current translation practice, connect more directly with the publishing field, and reflect on the next steps appropriate to their stage of experience.

 · Established Track: June – November 2026 (flexible to participant's schedule)

  — Korea Residency: 2–4 weeks

  — Overseas Residency: up to 4 weeks

- Key Activities: Translation workshops and peer seminars, meetings with Korean authors, career mentoring, lectures on publishing and translator rights, pitching to overseas publishers, meetings with publishing professionals, public readings

- Support provided: Airfare, accommodation, and meal allowance (for eligible participants)

- 지원 혜택: 항공료·숙박비·식비 등 지원
