We are pleased to announce two upcoming workshops as part of 2026 Koreanist Summer Connections, organized by the Institute for Global Humanities Research and Collaboration (IGHRC) at Korea University. These sessions offer opportunities for scholars, particularly emerging researchers, to engage in focused topical seminars and short-term intensive workshops. All sessions will be held on-site at Korea University.

Title: Korean Traditional Philology Workshop (한국 전통 서지학 워크숍)


This two-day intensive workshop introduces the foundational methods and materials of classical Korean philology (書誌學). Day one consists of hands-on bibliographic practice with guided instruction in core concepts and terminology, while day two features an on-site visit to the rare books collection at the Korea University Library. The workshop is designed for graduate students and advanced researchers seeking to strengthen their practical engagement with pre-modern Korean texts.
