SUMMARY:

Welcome to this lecture on the rich and dynamic history of Swiss-Korean bilateral relations.

Through a series of compelling stories, we will explore the evolution of these ties, beginning with the first attempts to establish a Swiss Consul to Joseon and the role Switzerland played in the Korean freedom movement. We'll then delve into Switzerland's key position in the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) and highlight the thriving Swiss business network maintained through the Swiss-Korean Business Council. As we celebrated the 60-year anniversary of bilateral relations in 2023, we will also focus on the ongoing cooperation in cutting-edge research and innovation, particularly in the quantum technology field.
